Meet the Builder

Since I was young, I've always felt a connection to nature and water.  Both have provided me a release from stress and allowed me to focus on what's important.  Whether it be a thrashing winter ocean or a babbling creek, exploring these parts of nature has always helped me navigate life.

So years ago, I decided to look for something simple to take my exploring somewhere new.

During my search, I saw used aluminum boats, which looked utilitarian but cold.  Plastic boats seemed like a temporary solution, but then, I found cedar canoes.  Warm, infinitely repairable, natural boats built almost in the image of a living being.  If seeking a close connection with nature, how could one choose anything else?

A very simple "I think I'd like a boat of some kind" has led me on a journey and offered a connection with nature that I never imagined.  I hope to share that with as many people as possible.
